Photography Specialty Course

"Anyone can read a book on Underwater photography, so our focus is on teaching you the tips and tricks of taking good underwater images. As a bonus we also include some digital enhancement tips and tricks after the dives!"


Enhance your dives by taking along a digital camera – let us show you how to get the most out of any underwater camera by participating in our Digital Underwater Photography class.

Theory is kept to a minimum and includes a video and question and answer time. Our focus is on assembly, maintenance and use of the equipment in the underwater environment. Your Instructor accompanies you on your afternoon dives and assigns fun Wide angle and Macro photography tasks. On your return, the images are loaded onto computer for review. The most valuable part is the critique session with your Instructor where you gain insight into how to improve your shots next time!

  • Morning Lecture
  • Use your Digital camera equipment or use our Sea & Sea DX8000 camera with wide-angle lens and strobe.
  • CD-ROM containing all the images taken during your dives.

  • 2-tank Dive Trip

  • All personal diving equipment

  • Minimum of 12 years of age

  • Certified as an Open Water Diver (or JR Diver)

One of the simplest and quickest ways there is to enhance your enjoyment of Scuba diving is to start taking pictures so that you can document your discoveries and share the adventure with your friends.  With the advent of digital underwater photography this process is even easier.

The PADI Digital U/W Photography course provides you the necessary training and hands on skills so that you can capture great images!

During the course you will learn good habits, and a basic understanding of proven techniques to shoot good underwater images. Your instructor will be one of our staff photo pro's that are experienced at using the Sea & Sea and other digital camera systems as well as being experts at shooting local marine life.

In no time you will be on your way to capturing great images!

In this course you will also earn a distinctive specialty certification course in Underwater Photography that counts towards your Master Scuba Diver Certification.
